Bessie M. Johnson, 94, of 606 N. A. st died Tuesday, June 18, 1985 at Griffin Nursing Home in Knoxville.

She was born January 29, 1891, in Attica to Jessie and Lois Streeter Locke. She married Walter Stafford March 6, 1909. He died in 1976.

She was a member of Eagles Auxzilary and the United Methodist Quilting circle.

Surviving are two daughters-in-law, Icil Stafford of Des Moines, and Marilyn Stafford of Creston, 4 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in Death by 2 brothers, 5 sisters, and 2 sons, Harold and Don Strafford.

Services will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at Garland-Van Arkel Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Max Johnson.
