Mariah Elizabeth Glenn was born in Marion county Iowa, June 30, 1857. Was united in marriage to Nathan E. Tucker, January 16, 1876. To this union four children were born. Three of whom survive their mother. Mr. Tucker died Jan. 10, 1902. Since the death of Mr. Tucker the deceased has madee her home in Lovilia with the exception of one year which was spent in Knoxville. Mrs. Tucker was a member of the Lovilia Methodist Episcopal Church having transferred her membership from the Marysville Church. She was also a member of the daughter of the Rebecca degree of Odd Fellows and a member of the royal neighbors. The deceased was a woman much loved by a large number of relatives and friends. She was kind to all, always ready to lend to the sick and needy. She was taken sick one week ago last Tuesday night and passed away at her home in Lovilia thursday morning June 16 age 52 years 11 months and 16 days. She leaves to mourn her loss three children, Mrs. Stells Rogers,Trumbull, Neb., Mrs Odessa Anspach, Omaha, Neb., and Nathan Glenn Tucker, Ayr, Neb., two brothers Thomas Glenn of Knoxville and William Glenn of Marysville. Two sisters, Mrs. Leroy Wharton of Bussey and Mrs. Charley Metz of Marysville. Funeral services were held in the Marysville Church Friday afternoon June 17th conducted by Rev. Hankins. Interment in Marysville cemetery.
