Graveside services for Alex Whaley was held November 7 at Eureka cemetery. Mr. Whaley was raised to manhood in the Eureka neighborhood. He had been in failing health for several years and was cared for by a son, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Whaley, at their home, in Deep River. After the burial, the family and friends were served lunch at the E. E. Larsen home.

Short services were held at Eureka Cemetery Tuesday afternoon for Alex Whaley who died Sunday evening at the home of his son, Wilson Whaley, at Deep River.
