Webb, Lillie O. Redding – 1877-1934

Lillie Oras Redding, daughter of Hezekiah and Almyra Redding, was born in Lake Prairie township, Marion county, Iowa, Dec. 4, 1877, and departed this life Aug. 26, 1934, at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 22 days.
With her parents at about 3 years old, she moved to Eureka neighborhood, where she obtained schooling in the old Eureka brick school house which no longer remains.
On Aug. 27, 1897, she was united in marriage to William R. Webb of Oskaloosa. Here they resided 3 years. To this union was born one son, Samuel H. In 1903 they moved to Harvey where she has since made her home, for 31 years.
In youth she united with the Baptist church and had faith in her Saviour ever since. On Aug. 26, 1934, she departed this world, going to her new home with God. She had lived with her husband 37 years, was a kind, devoted wife, mother and friend to all.
She leaves to mourn: her husband, one son, Samuel H., one daughter-in-law, Nellie Virginia, of Harvey; one sister, Mrs. E. A. Wheeler of Colfax; four aunts, three uncles, four nieces, and other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted from the Harvey M.E. church on Tuesday afternoon by the pastor, Rev. S. P. Trostle. Interment in Eureka cemetery.
