Funeral services for Jennie Van Veen, 83, of Pella, who passed away Dec. 10, were held Dec. 13 at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella.

Jennie Van Veen, daughter of Herman and Gertrude (Loverink) Van Veen, was born December 23, 1919 in Peoria. Jennie grew up on a farm north of Pella. She attended country schools northeast of Pella, in Prairie City, and in Minnesota, completing eighth grade.

She was a homemaker and cared for her parents as they advanced in age. Currently she was a member of the Third Reformed Church and Ruth Circle.

Jennie is survived by two brothers: John Van Veen of Monroe, and Garrit Van Veen of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
