Funeral services for Judy Kay Chambers Rees, 57, of Knoxville, who died on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, at the Pella Regional Hospital, were held on Saturday, November 10, at Williams Funeral Home. Rev. Kathy Sides officiated at the services. Cindy Todd was organist. Memorial service was held by Xi Sigma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

Interment was at Graceland Cemetery. Casketbearers were Jimmy Beary, Steve Bellon, Gary DeMaria, Mark Jerkins, Bill LaHue and Frank Schurman.

Judy was born on August 4, 1944, in Knoxville. She was the daughter of Grace Juanita (Watson) and Everett Andy Pearson. She graduated from the Knoxville High School in 1963.

She married Ronald Dee Rees on November 10, 1979, at First United Methodist Church in Knoxville.

She was employed for many years at the 3M Company in Knoxville. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville. She was also a member and past president of the Xi Sigma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

She enjoyed visiting and joking with friends and relatives. She held a special place in her heart for she and Ron's children and especially her grandson, Grant. She also liked to spend time shopping and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy Mae Rees and Donald Dee Rees.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Dee Rees of Knoxville; three daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy Kay Chambers of Venice, Calif., Candy Ray Chambers of Leavenworth, Kan. and Dee Ann Rees Bradshaw and Chad Bradshaw of Ankeny; a son, Ronald Scott Rees of Ingleside, Ill.; a grandson, Grant Everett-Mason Chambers of Leavenworth, Kan.; as well as other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Grant Chambers Education Fund.

Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home.
