Funeral services for Mrs. Gerrit J. Vande Kieft were held Thursday, June 22, at the First Christian Reformed Church of Pella with Rev. Martin Gritters officiating. Burial, under the direction of the Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home, took place in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Grace (Wanders) Vande Kieft, 69, wife of the late Gerrit J. Vande Kieft, passed away Monday morning, June 19, 1972 at the University Hospital in Iowa City.

Grace, daughter of Albert and Bertha Van Donselaar Wanders Sr. was born August 23, 1902 in Marion County near Tracy, Iowa where she spent the early years of her lifetime.

She was united in marriage at the Wanders' farm home near Pella with Gerrit J. Vande Kieft on March 3, 1926 and to this union 3 children were born: Gareth P. now living at Pella, Robert L. living at Grand Rapids, Mich, and Mavis, Mrs. Ivan L. Vos of Pella.

Mr. and Mrs. Vande Kieft farmed near Tracy and Otley and a couple of years near Monroe before the death of Mr. Vande Kieft on August 22, 1936. Mrs. Vande Kieft has been residing in Pella since shortly after the death of her husband.

She has been a faithful member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella.

Surviving beside her 3 children are 10 grand­ children, 2 sisters and 2 brothers: Katherine, Mrs. Merrill S. Standage of San Jacinto, Calif, and Marie, Mrs. Elmer Nollen and Lewis and Albert Wanders all of Pella.
