Musical selections of: “Amazing Grace”, “Go Rest High on that Mountain” and “Iowa Hawkeye Fight Song” were shared.

John Leslie McCullough was born June 11, 1935, in Allerton, Iowa, the son of Millard Charles McCullough and Opal Delight (Kaizer) McCullough.
He was raised in Melcher-Dallas and played high school basketball, football and baseball. During high school, John worked for Bingham Feed & Grain and he continued to work there following graduation. He then went to work for the CO-OP in Knoxville. On July 6, 1957, he was united in marriage to Connie Mae Spencer in Des Moines. To this union one son, Mike, was born. John enjoyed watching sports, most especially the Iowa Hawkeyes, followed closely by the Knoxville Panthers. John could always strike up a conversation with a stranger, wherever he and Connie were, and he always had another friend before they left. His greatest joy in life, however, was his family and he cherished his wife, son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings.
