A Celebration of Life for Sandra Redding, age 51, of Knoxville will be held on Thursday, December 20 at 11 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Marion County Humane Society, American Heart Association or to American Diabetes Association . Online condolences may be left at BertrandFuneralHomes.com. She was an Administrative Assistant for the Iowa DNR. She is survived by her son, Jesse Redding (Nichole) of Knoxville, parents, Grant and Priscilla Rankin of Bussey, brother, Mike Rankin (Dawn) of Knoxville and her in-laws, Tom and Gay Redding of Bussey.

Sandra Kay Redding was born December 11, 1961 in Oskloosa, Iowa the daughter of Grant and Priscilla (Allsup) Rankin.

Sandra was raised on her parent's farm near Bussey, Iowa. She attended Twin Cedars Schools, granduating with the Class of 1980. In the Fall of 1980 she went to work for the Iowa DNR at the Wallace State Office Building in Des Moines. She was currently an administrative assistant for the DNR. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, baking and her pets. Her greatest joy was being a mother to her son, Jesse.

Sandra passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics at the age of 51 years.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Jesse Redding (Nichole) of Knoxville, parents, Grant and Priscilla Rankin of Bussey, brother, Mike Rankin (Dawn) of Knoxville and her in-laws Tom and Gay Redding of Bussey and many other family members and friends.

Celebration of Life Service; Graceland Cemetery - Knoxville, Iowa Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11 am with Paster Brent Hanna, officiating.
