Funeral services for Opal De Heer age 93, of Knoxville, will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ruckman Cemetery. There will be an open visitation on Friday at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HCI.

Opal was a school teacher in Marion and Jasper counties for 38 years prior to retirement. She is survived by her son, Rich (Patty) De Heer of Knoxville. Online condolences may be left at BertrandfuneralHomes.com.
