PELLA - Peter Rus Jr., 85, of Pella, a former farmer in the Red Rock Lake area, died Monday, Dec. 12, at the Pella Community Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella.

The Rev. J. Mark Beach, pastor of the church, will conduct services.

Memorials to the COC Scholarship Fund or the Pella Community Adult Day Care Center will be accepted.

Garden Chapel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

The Rus farm in rural Pella was purchased by the government in 1960 for use in the Red Rock Lake project. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa, Wed 14 Dec 1994.
