Bussey — Brenda Marie Burk, age 69, peacefully passed away on Monday Dec. 24, 2012, at the Taylor House in Des Moines. She was born on June 8, 1943, in Bussey, to Hubert and Hazel (Green) Burk. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her family. Surviving are son Bryan Burk and Grandson Curtis Burk of Des Moines, Brother Bud (Pat) Burk of Bussey and two nieces, Kim (Roger) Zellmer of Bussey, Lynn (Jeff) Gardner of Altoona. She is preceded in death by her parents

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Bussey United Methodist Church in Bussey with Rev. Raymond Doser officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, opening to the public at 2 p.m. and family present from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lovilia.

Burial will follow services in Liberty Cemetery near Bussey. Memorials may be directed to Beta Sigma Phi. Online condolences may be left at sinnottfuneralhome.com
