Erma Marie (McCombs) Jones of Nelson, Missouri, passed away at her home on Friday, October 25, 2013.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at William Wood Funeral Home, 517 Fourth Street, Boonville, Missouri. Burial will follow in Nelson Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at the funeral home.

Erma was born on Sunday, March 1, 1931, in Hamilton, Iowa, to Lloyd & Faye (Stilwell) Mc-Combs. She attended school in Hamilton.

Erma was united in marriage on Sunday, February 25, 1945 to Frank Jones and to this union 7 children were born. They lived in Wyoming for several years before returning to Iowa and later to live in Missouri. Erma was a homemaker and enjoyed being with her family and raising her grandson, Anthony Loren Jones, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, and their only daughter, LaVona Olsen, and her three brothers, Dewayne McCombs, Donald McCombs and Richard McCombs.

She is survived by her 6 sons; William, Larry, Daryl, Anthony, Ricky and Raymond, 2 sisters, Arlene Ragen and Jean Harryman, both of Iowa, her son-in-law, Jerry Olson, of Sedalia, MO., her special friend, Julie Castiglia, several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

(NOTE: The obit failed to mention Erma's younger brother, Merrill McCombs, who has lived in California and Oregon for the past 50 years.)
