Funeral services for Arlene Marion Wilke, 78, of Knoxville, who died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002 at Knoxville Area Community Hospital, were held Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Joel Picard officiated at the services. Jim Kidder 2 was vocalist accompanied by Cindy Todd, organist. Interment was at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Casketbearers were Jim Coe, Dave Mickley, Keith Wilke, Kent Wilke, Steve Ramcke-Wilke, and Robert Wilke. Honorary bearers were Camron Wilke and Leslie Wilke.

Arlene was born on September 28, 1924, in Blue Earth, Minn. She was the daughter a of Mable and Fred Henke. She married y Harmon Lewis Wilke on June 3, 1947, at St. Paul's Lutheran g Church in Blue Earth, Minn. To this union eight children were born. Arlene graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1942. In 1965, she and Harmon moved to Knoxville. The couple operated A&W Root beer between 1965 and 1980. Arlene loved fishing, playing Scrabble, flower gardening and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Harmon Wilke of Knoxville; five sons and their wives, Leslie and Patricia Wilke of Fallon, Nev., Steven and Rev. Paula Ramcke-Wilke of Fond du Lac, Wis., John and Betty Wilke of Knoxville, Keith and Patricia Wilke of St. Louis, Mo. and Kent Wilke of Bussey; three daughters and their husbands, Patricia and David Mickley of Thaxton, Va., Sandra Lou Wilke of St. Louis, Mo., and Karen and James Coe, Jr. of Knoxville; two brothers, Harland Henke of Farmington, Minn. and Robert Henke of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Margorie and Gary Holland, Lucille and Marvin Pirsig all of Blue Earth, Minn., and Maxine and Robert Ikier of Amboy, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in Arlene's memory to the Trinity Lutheran Church and Hospice of Central Iowa. Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home.
