Services for Mary Louise Wiezorek, 71, of Pella, who died June 7, 1995 at Pella Community Hospital, were held June 12 at Rasmussen Funeral Home in Ravenna, Neb. Interment was in Highland Park Cemetery, Ravenna, Neb. The Rev. Doug De Neui officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Petty Officer Second Class Todd Wiezorek, Harlan Friedrichsen, Harold Hastings, Rex Nicholson, Walter Peter and Gilbert Reimers. Honorary bearers were Scott and Ryan Wiezorek, Jason, Jeremiah and Joe Miller, and Bryan Friedrichsen.

Mrs. Wiezorek was born on Nov. 13, 1923 at Kamrar, the daughter of Russell and Helen Olson Gray. She graduated from high school at Stanhope and then attended American Institute of Business in Des Moines. She was first employed by Riggs Optical in Des Moines. On June 7, 1946, she married Robert Richard Wiezorek al Minden, Neb. They lived in Webster City and Des Moines and then farmed near Stanhope. At the time of their retirement in 1982, they moved to McAllen, Texas. For the past seven years, the couple was employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as camp ground attendants at Ivans Camp Ground near Lake Red Rock. She had been a member of the Stanhope Christian Church and the Glenn Echo Christian Church in Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Lyle of Humboldt; one daughter, Doris Miller of Wingate, N.C.; six grandchildren; one great- grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Jerry (Audrey) Valenta of Long Beach, Calif.; and one brother, Orville of Stanhope.

A memorial has been established to Hospice of Pella.
