Funeral services for Wilma C. Whitten, 95, of Grove City, Pa., who died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003 at the United Community Hospital in Grove City, Pa., were held Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Cunningham Funeral Home in Grove City, Pa. Graveside services were held Friday, Sept. 26, at Breckenridge Cemetery in Marion County. Rev. Kathy Sides officiated at the services.

Wilma was born on Sept. 15, 1908, in Marion County, the daughter of William and Bertha (Randall) Cummings. She married William S. Whitten on July 18, 1925 in Newton. To this union one daughter was born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William in 1990; two sisters, Ina Harsin and Ferne McClure; three brothers, Loren, Carl and Howard Cummings; an infant brother; and a grandson-in-law, Hugh Outland.

She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Marilyn and H. Joe Arvidson of Bradenton, Fla.; two grandchildren, Lynette Outland of Louisville, Ky. and Joe W. Arvidson and his wife, Monica of Londonderry, N.H.; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Tower Presbyterian Church in Grove City, Pa. Arrangements were made by Williams Funeral Home.
