Janice Ilene Comstock, age 64 of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2009, at the Marion County Hospital due to injuries sustained in a car accident in Knoxville.

Janice was born on April 18, 1945, to Jesse David and Mildred (Davis) Speck in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Janice grew up and went to country school before attending and graduating from Twin Ceders High School. Janice was a homemaker, and was a member of the Bethel Christian Church near Eddyville, and later attended the Church of the Nazarene in Oskaloosa.

She enjoyed sewing and needle work.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse, and Mildred; and one brother, David Speck.

Janice is survived by her sons, Timothy Comstock of Sioux City, Iowa, Joel Comstock and his wife Julie of Omaha, NE, and David Comstock and his wife Bobbie of North Bend, NE. thirteen grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Janice is also survived by one sister Margaret Tangie and her husband Bob of Albia, one brother Craig Speck of Jasper, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
