Funeral services for Lyle Laverne Dorscher, 47, of Attica, who died Sept. 14 at Jackson, Mich., were held Sept. 18 at Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland.
Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Lewis.
Dorscher, the son of Leo and Charlene (King) Dorscher, was born April 17, 1957, at Council Bluffs. He lived on a farm near Oakland before moving to Lewis. He graduated from Griswold High School with the class of 1975. Over the years, he held occupations as a farmhand, mechanic, and a truck driver owner-operator. He was the owner of H Bar L Trucking in Knoxville, and the Main St. Cafe' in Albia.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lewis Dorscher in 1991, his grandparents Claude and Mary King, and Fred and Katie Dorscher.
He is survived by his wife Holly of Attica; his parents, Leo and Charlene of Lewis, two daughters, Mandy Sims and her husband Tony of Grandlet and Jessica Cavanaugh and her husband Matt of Woodward; three sons: Nicholas Dorscher and Nathand Dorscher of Atlantic, and Kolton Dorscher of Attica; five stepchildren: Melissa Ervin of Atlantic, Justin Hoeck of Omaha, Neb., Jordon Pafford of Runnells, and Alieen and Falon Pafford of Attica; his sisters and brother: Linda Kunze and her husband Roger of Pensacola, Fla., Luann Finnell and her husband Don of Atlantic, Larry Dorscher and his wife Rosalee of Griswold; and ten grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were made by Vieth Funeral Home.
