Mrs. Della Kirton died Sat Sept 2

Funeral services for Mrs. Della Kirton, who died as the result of an accident, Sept 2, 1961, were held from the Bybee & Davis funeral home Wednesday, Sept.6, with Rev J.C. Leonard officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Gardens, Des Moines.

Pallbearers were James H. McDonald, Don Elsberry, Don Moon, Eddie Moses, Philip Garrison, and Pete Stotts. George Rankin, soloist was accompanied by Linda Leonard, organist.

Della N. Wilson was born in Knoxville, Nov 24, 1891, the daughter of Ben and Nancy Wilson. She spent her entire life in and near Knoxville. She attended the Church of the Nazarene. She was married to Jefferson Kirton, Jan 20, 1909. Mrs. Kirton also made a home for one niece and nephew, Helen Mozena of Rock Island and Don McDonald, Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are her sons, Merle of Des Moines and Rolland of Moorcraft, Wyo.; a brother, Ben Wilson of Moline, Ill.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
