Howard Clinton Rowland, son of Mr and Mrs Hiram Rowland, was born in Knoxville, August 30, 1895. Died near Knoxville Jan 13, 1920, aged 24 years, 4 months, 13 days. He leaves a widow and two children besides father, mother, five brothers and five sisters.

The funeral services were held at the home in North Knoxville conducted by Rev. Davies of the Baptist church. Burial in Ridlen Cemetery.
