F.H.(Jim)Blomgren, 89, formerly of Oskaloosa, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 in Dayton, OH. Services were held at Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa.

He was born June 2, 1916 at Ft. Dodge, Ia, the son of Quintus C. and Rose (Jordreau) Blomgren. He graduated from the Oelwein High School, and later University of Iowa in 1937. In 1940, he was united in marriage to Hygene Sharp in Centerville, IA., and in 1950 they moved to Oskaloosa where he established the first Certified Public Accounting firm in Oskaloosa. He was the first CPA in Mahaska County.

He married Virginia Wallace Glass in 1971, and in 1986, they moved from Oskaloosa to Sun City Center, FL, where he established his own CPA firm.

He is survived by a son and his wife, James Q. (Pam)Blomgren of Oskaloosa; daughters and their husbands, Carol (Jim) Roever of St. Joseph, MO., and Barbara (Dan) Miller of Dayton, OH., many cousins, and five grandchildren and a great-grandson; two step-daughters, Sharon (Dave) Brown of Knoxville, TN and Virginia (Bill) Martin of Bend, OR, and two step-granddaughters and two step-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia Blomgren; a brother, Robert; and a step-son, Gary Glass. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Hygene S. Blomgren.

Memorials may be made to the Oskaloosa YMCA.
