BALLINGER – Mrs. Esther J. Ballinger, died at Mercy hospital, at 2:30 o’clock, Monday morning, at the age of 81 years and 28 days from infirmities of old age. Mrs. Ballinger, daughter of Jacob Shock (Schock) and Rachel Sleeth Shock, was born July 7, 1854. Surviving are Mrs. B. G. Williams, a daughter, and Fred K. Ballinger, a son, both of Oskaloosa. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 o’clock Tuesday evening, August 6, 1935 in Wilcox-Garland chapel with Rev. Albert Head, rector of the St. James Episcopal church, conducting the service. Burial in the Forest cemetery.
