Anthony A. Schock, son of Jacob and Rebecca Schock, was born July 28, 1950 (1850) in Indiana, and died at Abbott hospital in Oskaloosa, Iowa, September 28, 1928, aged 78 years and 2 months. He moved with his parents to Iowa in 1854. He was married to Malinda Fields. To this union were born two children, Claude, deceased, and Homer of Pittsburgh, Pa. His wife died at Washington, Oklahoma. A second marriage was with Louise Gillispie in 1890. To this union one child, Earl, who is now deceased, was born. Mr. Schock is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hettie Ballinger of Oska-Pittsburgh, Pa., and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Elsie Wymore, and two grandchildren, Elmer and Fern Schock of Lacey, Iowa. Funeral services were held Sunday, September 30, 1928 at the Cheesman Funeral Home, Rev. George E. Purdy officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery near Lacey.
