Funeral services for Eunice E. Kruseman, 74, of New Sharon, who died Feb. 17, were held Feb. 20, at the Ebenezer Reformed Church in Leighton. Rev. Dean Ulmer officiated the service.

Interment was at the Evergreen Cemetery in Leighton.

Eunice E. Rempe was born June 12, 1929 to William and Nelle De Prenger Rempe. She graduated from Pella High School with the class of 1947.

On January 15, 1952, she was united in marriage to Ralph Kruseman, at her parent's home in Mahaska County, near Leighton, and he died Sept. 4, 2003. She was a homemaker all her life.

She was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church in Leighton, and belonged to the Sisters in Christ group at the church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Black Oak and Scott Homemakers club.

She is survived by her son and his wife: Tom and Linda Kruseman of Leighton; her daughter and her husband: Janet and Jon Overbergen of Leighton; four grandchildren, and a greatgranddaughter.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother Max Rempe.

Memorials may be made to the Mahaska Hospice.

Arrangements were made by Bates Funeral Chapel.
