HELEN M. TEDRICK, Denver, Colorado -- Helen Martha Tedrick, 79, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Oskaloosa died in July 1988 in Denver. She was born at Leighton on February 26, 1909 to Joseph and Clara (Tandy) Butler.

From Iowa, she later moved to California where she lived most of her life. She was an executive secretary and at one time was a secretary to Howard Hughes. She was previously married to Claude C. Beale who owned and operated Lacey Hotel for many years in downtown Oskaloosa.

She later married Ralph "Ted" Tedrick and after his death moved to Denver, Colorado to be near her step-son and wife, Ronald and Beverly Davis and two step-grandchildren. She had suffered many years with theumatoid arthritis. She was a former member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by four grandchildren; step-son and his wife; two step-grandchildren and one cousin, Louise Dankert of St. David, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Harry Craig and Joseph James Beale and two brothers, Carl and Howard Butler.

The body was cremated and there were no services. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
