Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1974Death Takes Mrs. Roquet
FREMONT - Mrs. Carrie Elsie Roquet, 84, died at 9 a.m. Monday at her home in Fremont.
Last rites will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Rev. Robert Parris in charge. Burial will be in Cedar Township Cemetery near Fremont.
Members of the family will be at the funeral chapel in Fremont from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Mrs. Carrie Elsie Roquet was born Aug. 8, 1890, in Keokuk County. She was the daughter of John and Addie C. Ritter Allman. She lived in the Fremont area all of her life.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Birthday Club.
She was married Feb. 14, 1912, to Walter Roquet in Keokuk County. He preceded his wife in death Nov. 27, 1945.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Icel Cornell, Ottumwa, and Mrs. Gail Hedlund, Packwood; ten grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one brother, Fred Allman, Hedrick.
