BUFFINGTON. - Died, at his home near Kirkville, Feb. 10, 1892, of old age, W.H. Buffington, aged 93 years and 7 days. The funeral occurred from his residence with interment at Kirkville cemetery.
The deceased was one of the earliest settlers of this county, having come here the day after the Indians departed some fifty years ago. He had lived on his home place where he died 45 years, and was a man held high in the respect of all who knew him. He was the father of 15 children, some of whom have preceded him to the land beyond. Of those who survive him three live in this vicinity, namely: Z.T. Buffington, of Kirkville, E.H. Buffington, of Harrison township, and Mrs. V. Brubaker, of Cedar.
