Jennie Hilleary, 92 of Oskaloosa, died Sunday, March 29, 1992 at North Brook Care Center in Cedar Rapids. She was born Dec. 1, 1899 in Marion County to George and Angeline Stam. She married Fred Benjamin Hilleary on Jan. 15, 1921 in Oskaloosa; he died on March 27, 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa.

She is survived by a daughter, Vivian Barnes of Marion; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister Carrie Simpkins of Oskaloosa. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daugther, Kathryn Noel; a grandson, Charles Noel; and six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, with the Rev. David Holmes officiating. Burial will be at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday, 7-8:30 p.m. to greet relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to her church or to Mahaska Diamond Shelter.
