OBITUARY -
Albert Fisher

Albert Fisher, son of James and Naomi Fisher, was born in Prairie Township, Mahaska county, January 4, 1870, and passed away at the Iowa Methodist hospital on July 21, 1945, at the age of 75 years, 6 months and 17 days.
He was united in marriage to Bertha L. Shoemake, November 7, 1894. To this union were born four children: Goldie Hoffman of Fort Dodge, Luella Donahey of Des Moines, Gail Fudge of New Sharon, and Merlin Fisher of Albert Lea, Minn.
After 35 years spent in farming he moved to New Sharon where he has since been engaged in real estate business.
He was converted early in life and became a member of the Methodist church.
As a man, he was a kind and thoughtful father, always honorable in his business dealings. His congenial manner and ready smile made for him a host of friends, and his remembrance of others in times of need endeared him to all.
Besides his wife and children he is survived by seven grand-children, two great grand-children and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Spain and Mrs. Lily Fox, both of Oskaloosa, besides a host of relatives and friends.
