Leroy A. Wells, 76 died at his home near Indianopolis March 23, 1938.

The youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Wells, he was born in Kentucky Nov. 1, 1861. At the age of 19 he came to Iowa and was employed on farms in this community. He married Milly H. Dugger. They have resided on the farm continuously. One son, Cleland, died Dec. 8, 1918.

In 1891 Mr. and Mrs. Wells united with the Christian church at Indianopolis during a revival by the Rev. Frank Anderson.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, and one son: Dr. F. L. Wells of Keosauqua, Mrs. Fred Kitzman who resides near What Cheer, and Mrs. Raymond Catcott, near Fremont; four grandchildren, James Kitzman, Nancy, Virginia and Billy Catcott; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Strasser of What Cheer and Mrs. Louise Johnson of San Diego, California.
