MONA CLOE

Mona B. Cloe, 87, of 816 Second Ave. W., died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1985 at Mahaska County Hospital. She was born July 23, 1898 at Crawfordsville, the daughter of James E. and Bertha Curtis Riley.

She married Herschel T. Cloe on May 27, 1918 at Oskaloosa. He died on April 25, 1961. She lived in Oskaloosa for 72 years.

She is survived by two daughters: Norma Almond and Marilyn J. White, both of Oskaloosa; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, James on Nov. 18, 1985; an infant daughter; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Max Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Old White Cemetery at Oskaloosa. The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. to greet relatives and friends. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
