CLOE -- Hershell T. Cloe, age 71, of 517 B. avenue west, died late Tuesday afternoon, April 25, at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines. He was a retired employee of the Kalbach lumber company.

Surviving is the wife, Morna Cloe of Oskaloosa; three daughters, Mrs. Maxine Morgan of Bellflower, Calif., Mrs. Norma Almond of Oskaloosa and Mrs. June White of El Paso, Texas; two sons, James Cloe of Brockton, Mass. and Cecil Cloe of Garden Grove, Calif.; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Maude Bruhn of Des Moines; a half-sister, Mrs. Pearl Haven of Minnesota and two half-brothers, Harold Raines of Ottumwa and Isaac Raines of Aurora, Ill.

Services will be at the Newman funeral chapel Friday, April 28, at 2 p.m. with burial at White cemetery. Rev. Max Johnson of Assembly of God will officiate.
