Alice K. Leech, 90, of Oskaloosa, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, at home of her daughter in Oskaloosa.

Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, the Rev. Michael Crouch officiating. Interment: Forest Cemetery. Visitation with family presenmt will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Mrs. Leech was born April 14, 1905, in Ford River, Mich., to Charles Nord and Mathea B. Moe Johnson. She married Harold G. Leech in Escanaba, Mich., on Sept. 18, 1926.

They owned and operated a dairy in Oskaloosa, first called Leech Dairy and changed to Edgetowne Dairy, until they retired in 1967. He died Feb. 8, 1982. she also worked several years during the 1940's at the old Continental Overall Factory in Oskaloosa. She was a member of the First Christian Church and seved as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. She was a member of Joy Circle and CWF ad of King's Daughters.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband; Charlene and Marion Van Gorp of Oskaloosa; a daughter-in-law; Mrs. Donna Leech of Oskaloosa; six grandchildren; a stepgranddaughter: Jan (Mrs. Dave) Carter; two great-grandchildren; three stepgreatgrandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters; a sister and her husband: Ruth and Lloyd Barringer of DeMoete, Ind.; a brother and his wife: Kermit and Ar Johnson of Escanaba, Mich.; and a special friend: Kay Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; a son: Gene Leech; seven brothers: Emil Johnson, Albert Johnson, Bert Johnson, Fred Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Ralph Johnson and Arthur Johnson; and two sisters: Jennie Posanke and Esther Johnson.
