OSKALOOSA — Cleo W. Molyneux, 92, of Oskaloosa, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Crystal Heights Care Center in Oskaloosa.
He was born Feb. 13, 1918, at Thornburg, the son of Albert and Agnes Warnock Molyneux. Following school, he continued helping on the family farm. On Sept. 5, 1943, he was united in marriage to Icel Daugherty at Beacon. Following their marriage they farmed in the Rose Hill and What Cheer areas. In 1978, they retired and moved into Oskaloosa. He loved riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles, boating and camping. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Oskaloosa for 30 years and a Social Member of the Oskaloosa American Legion Post 34.
His family includes his wife of over 67 years, Icel Molynuex, of Oskaloosa; a daughter: Pat Francisco, of Iowa City; two grandchildren: Nicholas (and Sacha) Francisco and Natalie (and Peter) Miller; two brothers: Don (and LaVerne) Molyneux of Thiensville, Wis., and Marvin (and Betty) Molyneux, of Oskaloosa; a sister: Wilma Hudson, of Oskaloosa; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Kenneth Molyneux; and a sister: Betty Luers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 10:30 a.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with the Rev. Andrea Brownlee officiating. Burial will be in the Indianapolis Cemetery near What Cheer. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin Tuesday after 11 a.m. and the family will be at the Bates Funeral Chapel on Tuesday evening from 5-7 to greet friends and relatives. Memorials may be made to Mahaska Hospice.
