No Witnesses to Accident at Mills

The exact manner in which Albert Snider, 1613 E avenue, met his death in the Quaker Oats plant about 2 p.m. yesterday has not been ascertained. There were no witnesses to the accident but it is supposed he fell on a large revolving shaft while repairing a fire protection sprinkler pipe near the ceiling. Workmen found the body in a badly mangled condition shortly after 2 p.m.

Snider was 30 years old. His wife who recently submitted to an operation in a local hospital was to have been taken home today. Both came to this city last September and Snider was employed at the National Oats Oats plant until two weeks ago when he obtained employment in the engineering department of the Quaker Oats company.

His father-in-law, O. Hinkle of Delta, arrived in the city today to take charge of the body which will be taken to Delta for burial. The services probably will be held in that town Sunday. Snider is survived by his wife and three sisters, Mrs. Shafer of Oskaloosa, Ia., and Mrs. Garrett and Mrs. Logue of Bussey, Ia.
