Notice of Death

Mrs. Jessie M Alderman, age 83, of 819 Eighth Avenue East, died early Friday morning June 17, at Mahaska hospital.

Surviving are: her husband, Silas Alderman of Oskaloosa; one son, Lloyd McCreery of Cedar; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grand-children and one great-great grandchild.

Services are pending at the Newman funeral chapel.

Obituary

Jessie M. Alderman, age 83, of 819 Eighth Avenue East, who died early Friday morning at Mahaska hospital, will be Monday, June 20, at 2 p.m. (DST) in the Newman funeral chapel. Rev. Richard Goins of First Christian church will officiate with burial at Abel cemetery east of Fremont.

***Note from contributor*** Jessie M. Hamilton McCreery Alderman was the daughter of John Arthur and Sarah C Shuck Hamilton. She was married to John L McCreery in 1894 and had two sons Lloyd and Lottie Alvin McCreery. She married widow Silas Alderman in 1927. Jessie is buried with John L McCreery at Abel. Silas is buried with his first wife Sylvia Abrams Alderman at Abel.
