--Roy McBeth—

Roy McBeth, 86, of Fremont died there Monday morning, Dec 24.

He was born November 26, 1899, in Wapello County to Andrew J. and Melinda Helm McBeth. He lived around Hedrick and Fremont all his life. He was a retired farmer.

On July 28, 1926, he married Florence A. Rhoads in Ottumwa.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Waldo, Earnest and Charles of Ottumwa, Dale of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Kenneth of Upper Marlboro Md., four daughters, Mrs. Helen Cochrane and Mrs. Ruth Kool of Oskaloosa, Mrs. Marjorie Morrow of Ottumwa and Mrs. Anna Nilles of What Cheer; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27 at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with Rev Frank Pederson officiating. Burial was in Cedar Township Memorial cemetery in Fremont.

A Memorial fund has been established by the family to the Fremont Rescue Unit.
