How keen our sorrow noone can tell,
We've lost our boy we loved so well;
But we shall meet our love again,
Our loved and lost dear Arthur Blaine.Now his suffering all is past,
He has gone to rest at last;
When toil and grief forever cease,
And all is calm and joy and peace.We miss him at the family prayer,
He is not in his high-armed chair;
We miss the music of his voice
And cannot at his mirth rejoice.None knew him but to love him
And his memory ne'er will dim;
Sad is the thought with him to part,
It rends with grief each lonely heart.But he has gone to dearer climes
To be with God and hear the chimes
Of heavenly music floating sweetly by,
In grief and dread we say goodby.
