James E. "Jim" Lee left this life on Thursday, September 4, 1997 at the South Barry County Hospital in Cassville, Missouri, at the age of 51 years.

Mr. Lee., the son of Delmer and Edith Harper Lee, was born on January 22, 1946 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was a teacher and former instructor at the United Electronics Institute and former owner of West Des Moines Television in West Des Moines, Iowa. Mr. Lee and his wife Sherry moved to Shell Knob from West Des Moines, Iowa 20 years ago. He owned and operated the Big Creek Resort in Shell Knob and taught auto electronics at the Southwest Area Career Center in Monett, Missouri. Mr. Lee was a member and past president of the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Lee also served on the Shell Knob School Board for nine years. He was a member of the Central Crossing #674 A.F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge in shell Knob. Mr. Lee was an avid banjo player.

He married Sheryl Brough on July 22, 1967 in West Des Moines, Iowa. She survives.

Additional survivors include one son, Matthew James Lee, of Shell Knob, Missouri; his mother, Edith Lee, of Oskaloosa, Iowa; one brother, Thomas Lee, of Oskaloosa, Iowa; and two sisters, Janice Schultz of Montezuma, Iowa, and Judith Richmond, of Newton, Iowa.

Interment at Clio Cemetery, Jenkins, Missouri
