Rees Chambers, age 46, died Sunday evening (Nov. 27, 1959) at his home, 416 1/2 High avenue West. He and his wife, Nevada, who survives, operated the Iowa cafe in Oskaloosa.
He was born at Givin, the son of Joseph and Sarah Rees Chambers and lived in this community his entire life. A veteran of World War II, he served in the European theater and was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving with his wife are; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Erma) Sparks and Mrs. Perry (Ruth) Covey of Oskaloosa and three brothers, Irwin Chambers of Givin; Joseph Chambers of Racine, Wis. and Ivoe Chambers of Wicthita, Kan.
