RYKEN, 23, of 622 Sixth Avenue East died in the Mahaska Hospital at 3:50 p.m., Friday, July 16, 1948, following about two weeks' illness. He is survivied by his wife, Verna Joyce, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gysbert RYKEN of Oskaloosa, Route 6; three brothers, Sybern of Searsboro; Elmer of Eddyville; Arnold, at home, and one sister, Cobie, also at home. Funeral services Tuesday, July 20, at 1:30 o'clock in the Powers funeral home, Rev. J. HOWERZYL in charge. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery near Leighton.
