Announcement has been made of the marriage of Mary Padgett of Oskaloosa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Padgett of Ottumwa, to Fred Spates of Oskaloosa, which took place on July 29, 1936, at Lancaster, Mo.
A double ring ceremony was performed by Justice of Peace H. B. Hale and witnessed by L. E. Garrett and Lena Stacey, both of Lancaster.
The bride wore a white and blue sport suit and the bridegroom a grey sport suit. The couple will make their home at 902 First avenue west.
