The marriage of Forest Shipman and Florence Marie Risney, both of Oskaloosa, was performed at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, July 26, at the First Reformed parsonage. The single ring service was used by Rev. L. S. Faust, pastor of the First Reformed church.
The bride wore a flowered crepe dress with white accessories, a picture hat and a shoulder corsage. Miss Ruth Williams, as bridesmaid, was attired in a blue gown and wore white accessories. Harold Johns of Beacon attended. Mr. Shipman.
Included in the wedding group were Mrs. William Risney and Mr. and Mrs. John L. White.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. William Risney, 1102 High avenue west, and the bridegroom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Shipman. Mrs. Shipman, who is at present employed in a cafe in Ottumwa, is a graduate of the Oskaloosa high school. Mr. Shipman attended Oskaloosa high school and is now engaged as a trucker (Source unknown; likely Oskaloosa Herald)
