BRIDE-TO-BE
Announcement of the approaching marriage of Miss Janet Anabelle Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Mort Smith of Rose Hill, and Ora Willard White, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. G. White of Villisca, was made at the home of Mrs. Edgar C. Smith on Friday evening.
Decorations for the dinner party included a centerpiece of pink and blue balloons with white ribbons lengths extending to boxes containing pins with which the balloons were pricked, to reveal the date of the wedding, March 15. Minature brides and bridegroom were favors.
Attending the affair were Misses Betty Cruzen, Elsie Carmichael, Helen Ver Beek, Jaxie Ballou, Mary Ellen Hedge, the Mesdames Max Browneller, Warren France, Howard Noel, the honoree and the hostess. The evening was spent informally (Likely the Oskaloosa Herald, 1939-1941)
