CRUZEN - LORIMOR On Friday, November 7, 1941, Miss Katharine Lorimor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Lorimor of Oskaloosa, became the bride of Lyle H. Cruzen, son of Mrs. Helen Cruzen of Oskaloosa. The marriage was performed by Rev. Edgar L. Knight in the Lounge of the First Christian church. Attending the couple were Miss Grace Lorimor, sister of the bride, and Harry Moffet. Members of the immediate families were present. The bride is a registered nurse, now employed at the Mercy hospital here. They will be at home on a farm west of Oskaloosa. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the parental Lorimor home. The dishes used at the reception were wedding gifts of the bride. (source and date unknown).
Katharine Lorimor Bride of Lyle Cruzen. In the lounge of the First Christian church at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon, November 7, 1941. Miss Katherine Lorimor became the bride of Lyle Cruzen. Rev. Edger L. Knight, pastor of the church officiated in the presence of members of the immediate families. Wearing a blue jacket dress of street length, with brown accessories, the bride was attended by her sister, Miss Grace Lorimor who also wore blue. Both carried corsages of salmon colored rosebuds. Harry Moffett acted as a best man. A reception honoring the bridal couple was given following the ceremony at the Lorimor home. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Lorimor, is a registered nurse, a graduate of St. Joseph’s hospital in Ottumwa. She is now employed at Mercy hospital. Mr. Cruzen, son of Mrs. Helen Cruzen is engaged in farming. The couple will make their home on a farm west of Oskaloosa. (source and date unknown).
