College Jokers Expelled
A series of practical jokes, which have been carried on for several months by some of the venturesome students at Penn College in Oskaloosa, culminated in the expulsion of Roland Hunt and W. P. Smith, both members of the sophomore class. The last joke, which brought down a storm of faculty wrath, was in filling the chapel with hydrogen sulphide gas. This gas was let into the ceiling from retorts secreted into one of the society halls above the chapel.
