HOMER W. SEE

Homer W. See, one of Madison county's oldest residents, died Tuesday April 11 at his farm home near Peru, He was 93 years of age.

Mr. See was a retired farmer, and a life-long resident of the Peru community. He was born here Jan. 19, 1897, a son of Henry W. and Florence (Emerson) See. He was married Feb. 19, 1900 to Elsie Landis. Her death occurred in 1967.

He was a member of the Christian church at Peru.

Surviving are a son, Bill See of Peru; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Beeler of Truro and Mrs. Freda Burns of Truro; nine grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. One son, Harry See preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Kale Funeral home at Truro, conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.

Funeral services for Homer Winthrop See will be held Thursday, April 13, from the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. He died Tuesday, April 11 at his home near Peru. The 11 a.m. services will be conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius with interment in the Peru Cemetery, Peru Iowa.

Homer Winthrop See was born in Madison County and was a life time resident of the Peru area. He was educated in Madison County and was a farmer and affiliated with the Christian Church at Peru. He was united in marriage to Elsie Land in February 19, 1900. Three children were born to his union.

Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Beeler of Truro; Mrs. Freda Burns and husband, Robert of Truro; son, Bill See and wife, Doris of Peru; nine grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Elsie in 1967; one brother; and two sisters.
