Kenneth Myers, Knoxville

Kenneth L. Myers, 75, of Knoxville, formerly of Truro, died Nov. 25, 1996 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital. Funeral services were Nov. 30 at Kale Funeral Home in Truro. The Rev. Joan White officiated the services and burial was at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Madison County.

He was born Feb. 9, 1921 in Murray to Arthur F. and Clara J. (Reis) Myers. He was united in marriage to Naomi Veryle Lane at Olathe, Kansas. He had attended school in Murray and was a veteran of W.W. II, serving with the United States Army from 1943-1946. He was a steel fabricator working out of Union Hall and had been a resident of Truro for several years until moving in 1976 to Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one brother.

Surviving relatives include his son, Tom Myers and wife Jody of Grafton, N.D.; one daughter, Virginia Myers Stephenson and husband David of Long Beach, Wash.; two brothers, Loren Myers of Macksburg and Everett Myers of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Lucille Putney of New Grisham, Wisc.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

KENNETH L. MYERS

Kenneth L. Myers, son of Arthur F. and Clara J. Reis Myers, was born Feb. 9, 1921, at Murray and died Nov. 25, 1996, at Knoxville Area Community Hospital in Knoxville. He was 75.

He received his education in Murray and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II serving from 1943 to 1946.

He married Naomi Veryle Lane at Olathe, Kan. And couple became the parents of two children, Virginia and Tom. The couple lived in Truro for several years before moving to Independence, Mo. in 1976. He was a steel fabricator working out of the union hall.

Mr. Myers had resided in Knoxville for the past few years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Naomi in 1980 and a brother, Harold Myers.

Mr. Myers is survived by his son, Tom Myers and his wife, Jody Myers, of Grafton, N. D.; a daughter, Virginia Myers Stephenson and her husband, David Stephenson, of Long Beach, Wash.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Loren Myers of Macksburg and Everett Myers of Colorado Springs, Colo. and a sister, Lucille Putney of New Grisham, Wis., as well as a host of friends.

Services for Mr. Myers were at 10 a.m. Nov. 30 at Kale Funeral Home in Truro, Pastor Joan White officiating. Casket bearers were John Mease, Fred Hoover, Harry Skaggs Jr., Glen Horn, Doug Carpenter and Steve Myers. Interment was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Madison County.
