CHARLES WARREN SCHUTZ

Funeral services for Charles Warren Schutz, 81, will be held November 8 at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Wed. Nov. 7 at First United Methodist Church in Winterset from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the church.

Schutz died November 5 at Winterset Care Center North of Parkinson Disease. Burial will be at Moon Cemetery in Macksburg.

Born at Macksburg on July 29, 1909, he was the son of Mable and Alvin Schutz. He married Vione Lang June 7, 1937 at the Little Brown Church. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset, owned and operated a grocery and hardware store in Macksburg 1937-1946 and in 1946 he moved to California where he worked in a grocery store for seven months. He then owned and operated a grocery store in Van Meter from 1946 to 1970. In 1955 he started a photography business and operated under the name of Warren's Studio until 1979.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. He is survived by his wife Vione and a brother, Andrew Schutz of Pueblo, Colo.
