Blanche Myers, Winterset

Blanche Gertrude Myers, 82, died of pneumonia January 16, 1993, at Des Moines General Hospital. Funeral services are to be held Wed. Jan. 20 at 1:30 p.m. at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Tapiwa Mucherera officiating. Burial will be at Hartman Cemetery in Madison County.

Mrs. Myers was born in Madison County on Sept. 2, 1910, to J. A. and Eloise (Binns) Hart. She married Roy E. Myers on June 6, 1948, in Truro. She worked as a teacher in the county while living in Truro where she was a member of Truro United Methodist Church. She moved to Bethesda Care Center in Winterset in 1988.

Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.

Surviving are three brothers, Dean Hart and wife Ruth, Lyle Hart and wife Mary, and Dwight Hart, all of Winterset; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be designated for the activity fund of Bethesda Care Center in Winterset.

BLANCHE GERTRUDE MYERS

Blanche Gertrude Myers, the daughter of J. A. and Eloise Binns Hart, was born Sept. 2, 1910, in Webster Township, Winterset and died Jan. 16, 1993, at Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines. She was 82.

She married Roy Myers of Truro on June 6, 1948.

Mrs. Myers taught school in Madison County for a number of years and retired in Truro. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Truro until her health declined. In August of 1988, Mrs. Myers moved to Bethesda Care Center where she lived until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Roy in 1967.

Mrs. Myers is survived by three brothers, Dean Hart and his wife, Ruth, Lyle Hart and his wife, Mary and Dwight Hart, all of Winterset; several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Services for Mrs. Myers were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kale Funeral Home in Truro, the Rev. Tapiwa Mucherera of Truro officiating. The organist, Doris Johnson played the hymns, How Great Thou Art and Have Thine Own Way Lord.

Casket bearers were LeRoy Myers, John Hart, Bill Roach, Brian Hart, Galen Hart and Lyle Hart Jr. Interment was in Hartman Cemetery at Truro.
